Vase-black clay & gold luster

Wheel thrown stoneware.  This vase is made using black colored clay that was made in my studio!  I used food safe ceramic pigments to mix with my clay body.  I then layered porcelain on to the surface of the clay while it was still wet, making the flower pattern.  Gold luster was then fired on to add a bit of sparkle to the matte finish of the vase.

Hand wash only. Not microwave safe.
